Horovitz, Vladimir

   US pianist. Horovitz was born in Kiev, and settled in the United States at the age of twenty-four. He became one of the world’s finest pianists, celebrated for his technical virtuosity. He was greatly influenced by Toscanini, whose daughter he married.
