Guedalla, Philip

   English historian and biographer. Guedalla, son of an old English Sephardi family, was an accomplished and witty writer and lecturer, especially on the history and personalities of 19–century England, such as Wellington, Palmerston, Gladstone and DISRAELI. He was president of the English Zionist Federation (1924– 8).
